Dear Host family, I hope this Application finds you in a great mood. I am very exited to getting to know you and experiencing a Year away from home. Here are some Information's about my self and why I want to go to the US for a Year. My name is Pia and I am from Germany. My mother has both - the German and American citizenship - though and raised me bilingual. My grandmother's Family lives along the US east-coast States. Both my Father and Mother were born and raised in Germany. I also have a Brother 12 Years old. We have been to the USA and Canada several times, visiting my Aunt and Uncle and my grandmother's Family. I have several reasons why I would like to spend a year in the USA. First I would like to know more about the American way of life. Second, I hope to improve my English in all Situations. I think it is also important that I learn about the American school system by attending myself. Other than that, I have a sweet tooth an cant wait to enjoy American Sweets. :) Last but not least, I am very interested in learning more about American culture and my grandmother's background. I hope very much to improve my intercultural and personal development. My friends describe me as an out going, fun loving, trustful and social person. I am also an family person and reliable in any kind of duty's. My private hobbies are swimming, life guarding and teaching young kids (beginners) to swim, skiing, hiking, bike riding and being creative. If my spare time allows it, I enjoy preparing desserts. I really like to play board games and I like to be with people of different Nationalities. My neighbor appreciates, that I am animal friendly and dog sit their Labrador Luna, weekly. I can't wait to start an adventurous Year with a great opportunity to make new friends and to take the first steps to become independent, which I am thankful my parents and you as my host family are willing to give me. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!:) Last but not Least, a very important Information for my Host Family, I LOVE noodles, if you happen to sense me being in a sad mood, just cook me noodles and I am happy again.
