Dear host family, thank you so much for considering to take me in as your hist student! I'm Julia and I'm from Germany. First I want to thank you that you take the time to read my letter and for being willing to participate in the exchange program. I live in the countryside but near a big city. I live in a semi-detached house with my parents and my older sister Laura. She is 18 years old. I have a dog. His name is Luca. My dad is a graduated engineer in printing technology and my mum is a nurse and an art therapist. Right now I'm in the 8th grade but soon I'm in 9th grade. My favorite subject is physical education and English. In my spare time I love doing sports, go on a walk with my dog, meeting friends or play with little kids. I also love horseriding and I like going shopping and reading. As my hobbies I play handball and I do horseriding. My special interest is helping dogs in shelters or other animals. I also really love children and I love to entertain them. In my school I am a first-aid worker for the students. In my household I got a few tasks. I have to do laundry, clean my room empty the dishwasher and set the table. I also have to sometimes walk or feed the dog. If I'm coming to you as your exchange student I would love to help you with those things too. The reason why I want to do an exchange year is because I really want to see the world and I want to see how people live in other countries. The reason why I want to go to the USA is because I'm so fascinated by the US and I love speaking English. I’ve never been to the USA and I would love to go there. I think there are so many beautiful places, it's so huge and I want to see the everyday life from american people. I've been dreaming for so long to do an exchange year there. I also love how the school works in the USA. I always loved watching those movies with the high school life and I really want to live it in real life. And I just think the USA is so beautiful in so many ways. All those citys and also the landscape. So I hope I was able to get your attention and you liked my letter.
