Dear future host family,
first of all I would like to thank you for being willing to participate in the exchange program.
My name is Marlene and I really want to do an exchange year in America. You may wonder why? I always watched American series or films and I was just so enthusiastic. My dad was also in America at a friend house and they also have children in my age now. We get along very well and they always tell my about their life and activities there so I want to experience that on my own.
In America I hope, that I can make some new friends, that I can always remember or revisit later. That also applies to my host family. I want to get close with you so that we have a very good bond and harmonize. I want to have the best time with you. If in your family are children (younger or older.. I don’t mind) I’m very happy to become very good friends with them, hang out with them and just have the best time. If there aren’t any children in your family it’s still not a problem because I also want to spend time with you and get to know you and I’m sure that I’ll find friends at school or somewhere else. If you have any pets at home I really like to take care of them too. I’m not afraid of any any animals except spiders or snails. But I don’t think they’re typical pets 😂.
When I am in America I definitely want to try the food there.(I will be very open.) In Germany we hear many positive things about it. I also want to try new sports, for example cheerleading or volleyball. But I’m also open for other sports. I would love to go on trips or watching sights.
I hope that I can get to know you soon and I look forward to seeing you!!
Best greetings from Germany,
Marlene. :)
