Dear Host Family, First of all, thank you for accepting an exchange student and permitting me to live with you! My name is Maja, I am from Germany, and I would love to spend 5 months in America. I would find it very interesting to get to know a new culture over a longer period and I would be happy to spend this time with you. I have traveled a lot with my family, for example to Italy, Greece, France, or Spain. This summer I will also go on vacation to Italy without my parents. I don't think this will be a problem for me as I've spent several nights without my parents on several occasions and have never felt homesick. I love listening to podcasts. Nevertheless, I'm also outside a lot, meeting up with friends or going on adventures with my family. I play the flute several times a week since I was 8, also in an orchestra, and I'm passionate about playing table tennis. At the moment I'm also doing a dance class, which I really enjoy. For some time, I have also been active in our parish, where I mainly look after children. I would also like to start babysitting soon. Of course, I would also like to share some of our German traditions with you, for example St Martin or Nikolaus.
