Dear American family, My name is Zeynep Tuana but I like to be called Tuana. I study in the language department. I really enjoy my department that is why I am good in my classes. I did balley in theater most of my childhood. I took a break from my theater lessons, after I finished the last semester. I am keen on balley even though I am behind from my other friends in our course because I stopped going for the balley after I did it for two years. But I belive myself and I am aware of my improvement. I always wanted to play an instrument and I tried to learn the piano in our school by myself but after my school was relocated we had to give it to another school. I am willing to learn piano in the futre. I like being in the arts, because it makes me understand myself better than anything. I don't think I have a gift for any sports but I enjoy doing anything related with art. We learn music history in our school and it really enlightens me. I mentioned that I don't have any skill about sports but I love watching my friends basketball games with my friends or by myself. We play volleyball, basketball, ping pong, billiard and swim together. I love my friends because they care about me and we share quality time together. I can't spend much time with my family because both of my parents are working. We try to do whatever we can to share time together. Most of the time, my parents and I play games with my little sister in the evenings. She's growing so fast so I try to spend time with her more, listen to her stories about school and her friends. My mother and I have a relationship like friends because she is younger than most of the mothers. We go shopping, sit on caffes spend time with her friends or mine. My father works very hard so I can't see him as much as I see my mother. But I am aware of that he tries to make time to be with us. If he can't do anything he always comes to my room to cuddle. We try to go on vacations every summer because it is the only time we can be all together. Last summer, my sister was so happy that we all had a vacation, together, and I loved it too. We have a cat named Lubus and he is the second joy of our house. He makes us play with him like my sister. So we can have more time together, I am responsible for his cat litters cleaning, feeding him and changing his water daily. I also do my own cleaning and help with our weekly home cleaning schedule. If we don't have any meal at home I cook for myself. I pick my little sister from school if my parents are going to come out late from their work. I am taking a course for IELTS exam. Because I have finished my education for C1 level English and I want to take an exam for my university applications. I love my English school because it gives us a chance to speak with native people. I love every teacher of mine and I have learned so many things from their experiences. I always wanted to study abroad and it was really hard to convince my parents but I made it. They were concerned about the yes program at first but they love it now and they're way more excited than I am. They support everything about my future plans. I am thinking about studying interior designing or something related with media or marketing. Of course it can change because I am learning every moment of my life, but I am sure that I want to study something that will make me fully satisfied. We don't have much program to attend in our city when it comes to charity works, even though it is a big city. But I am in a social cooperation club in my school and we do everything we can to help people. We have had lots of projects like painting a secondary school that needed help and collected books for them. We do charity concerts and sale of work to raise money for babies that need help for their treatment. We buy food for street animals with the money we make. I personally love animals and pet every cat or dog I see on the street. I really want to continue doing charity works while I am in the U.S. I am an extrovert so I have no trouble with making new friends. I am always open to try new activities there if I don't have a chance to continue what I am doing right now. Because I am a true believer of everything you do is a valid experience. Tuana
