Dear American Family, Hello, my name is Nikolay but everyone calls me Nicky! I am from Bulgaria. I don't have any siblings, so I live with my parents in an apartment. Together we watch movies and discuss them afterwards. This is our favourite activity to do together. I always help with the housework. I usually do the disches and vacuum clean. I love to cook, so I also help with that if I have time. Some of my other interests include playing guitar and playing video games. My friends are mostly from school and we have our own friendship circle where each one of us has an assigned role. I am the one who cracks jokes, my friend Marty is the smart one, who always knows the answer, my friend Sophie is the one that is always hungry, and Ivayla is the one that awlays seems to misunderstand things, leading to some funny situations. We usually hang out in the park or go to the movies and sit somewhere to eat. We love spending time together and trying new food at the same time. I live in a very big city with many opportunities and things to do. The city center is beautiful, with old architecture and many statues of Bulgarian heroes. The outsirkts of town are perhaps not as interesting for a foreigner but are very practical. We have a lot of flats with many grocery stores around them, so we have everything in close range. Right now I am in a prestigious maths high school and I want to persue a career in maths and chemistry, which is my favourite subject. I would love to let my host family know that I am very independent and also great with little children. For a few months I used to volunteer in our city library's American Corner where I would teach little children English. I would love to gather knowledge and experience from the exhange program. Getting to know a completely unfamiliar culture definetly sounds like a challenge, one I am willing to take to enrichen my knowledge of other people, people I cannot meet here and people I would never get to know otherwise.
