Hello dear host family, My name is Diane and Aubrée is my middle name but everyone calls me Aubrée. I have never been to the United States. Seeing more and more people participating in school exchanges made me want to take the plunge myself, so I applied for the "High School" programme, in order to immerse myself in an American family for a whole year. I was born and currently live on Reunion Island, an island with a tropical climate, beautiful beaches for surfing, and a volcano. We eat a lot of exotic fruits and a typical dish here is "rougail saucisse". I am very close to my family and my best friend is Anna. I have a dog named Titoune. I am curious, motivated and open-minded by nature. I also like to have time to study quietly and I am interested in many fields such as science, especially mathematics and physics-chemistry which are my favorite subjects. In the future, I would like to be an astrophysicist so that I can fully study the universe. I love looking at the stars through my telescope with my father. I have other passions like books, especially novels and manga. I also enjoy artistic activities such as glass painting and playing the violin, which I have been doing for almost 2 years. I recently discovered a passion for Korean series and Japanese anime. I love sports such as volleyball, beach volleyball, and badminton, which I played in high school, and hiking. I want to go alone for a year because I am convinced that this experience will allow me to learn more about myself and to open up to others.
