Dear American Family, My name is Fjona Duka and I come from the small, but beautiful country of Albania, located in the south-eastern part of Europe. Introducing myself to you through a letter is something precious, yet so difficult, because there are so many things I want you to know about me. Firstly, I was born in the center of Albania and it is well-known for its lakes. Our house is by the lake and whenever I came back from school, the view of the lake surrounded by the trees was inspiring and always put me in a good mood. Eight months ago a new member was added to our family and lightened our world. My second eldest sister gave birth to a baby girl and now our house is filled with more joy than ever. My dad is a vet and my mum is a nurse. Growing up, we had cats as pets and when I was 11 years old my family gifted me as a birthday present a hamster. The good thing about having your dad as a vet is that for every problem with your pet, he can give you a solution. I have two older sisters and a younger brother. My eldest sister works as a dentist and my second eldest sister works in her fiancee's business, while my brother is in the eighth grade. We all come together at weekends, and try to spend as much time together as possible, playing games with our niece, watching movies, taking walks, or doing trips together. My household responsibilities include taking out the trash, making my bed, and mopping the house after school. I am not a very sporty person and most of my free time I spend reading books, watching movies and series, but if I gather together with my friends and family, I would let go of my "not-sporty type" and be part of the game. I enjoy the time with my friends. There are a lot of things we discuss and fun activities we do together like running in the park, talking walks together, and listening to music and we have this super ability, to turn even study time into fun when we study together. I am not quite sure of what I will do in the future, because I am still confused. However, my favorite subject is Biology and I have thought about a Biotechnology career, but I am also intrigued by Marketing or International Relations. The thing about me is that I am always ready for new experiences that would help me grow as a person. I am sensitive, caring, and hard-working and I always try to do my best.
