Dear Host Family, My name is Matteo and live in the north of Germany. I´ve come up with the idea of beeing an exchange student about half a year ago, since then the idea grew with me more and more. I´d love to get the chance to experience american culture and the highschool life in the US. I started playing soccer, when I was about 3 years old and for me there is nothing more important in life. I also coach a junior soccer team at my local club. It just makes me happy to bring kids the joy of playing soccer closer. My hope is that I´ll be still able to play soccer at my highschool, but i´m also excited to try other sports such as basketball. Listening to music and going to concerts are also things I really enjoy. Some of my favourite artists are Dua Lipa, The Weeknd and Camila Cabello. In my freetime I often go to the gym. On weekends I usually go out with my friends. Also I’m really into fashion and always on the lookout for new things. I love sunshine and warm climate in general, that’s why it would be my dream to live in a southern state. Watching shows on Netflix is also one of my hobbies. At school I´m learning English and Spanish and one of my goals is, to get fluent during my exchange year. After finishing school I want to study journalism abroad in Spain. The idea of travelling and writing reports for a living is just awesome to me. Here in Germany I live with my father and my stepmom, both of them are also big soccer fans. The biggest part of my family lives in Italy, that´s why we often go there for vacation. I´m currently in 11th grade and still have two more years of school to go. I´m excited to show my host family different aspects of how we live here in Germany.
