Dear Host Family,
Hello, my name is Yohei and I’m a high school student in Japan. I want to thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to become an exchange student. I’m really excited to live in America because this is my first time visiting overseas. I hope this will be a great time.
First, let me introduce myself a little bit. As I mentioned above, I’m a high school student in first grade and in the gymnastics club at my school. Gymnastics is one of my interests. I started gymnastics when I entered high school, so I have practiced for only one year, but I have gotten to be able to some skills: front and back flips, back handspring, layout back flip, and so on. I like the moments when I can feel myself growing, and I hope I can continue gymnastics in America. I often eat in restaurants and hang out in places like trampoline-parks, and athletics with colleagues. All my colleagues are kind and honest so, I like the time with them.
Next, about my family. There are four people and a bird in my family. I have a senior sister who is a nurse, and one budgerigar, whose name is Fu-Chan, is light bluish purple so he is lovely and cute. Do you live with any pets? If so, tell me about him/her. With my family, I often go out to watch movies, see the New Year’s sunrise, listen to an orchestra concert, and so on. Every time with my family is important.
I want to know your memories about hobbies, friends, and families. I’m looking forward to seeing you.
Best regards,
Yohei
