's Letter
Dear host family,
I’m very thankful that you decided to consider me to be a part of your family.
My name is Carolin and I live with my parents and my older sister in Germany. I’m a happy, open, lovely and active girl. I go in the 9th grade to a Protestant private school. I've been learning English for four years.
My Mom is a pharmacist like my grandparents, and she has two own pharmacies. My Dad is an owner of an international logistics company. My sister is two years older than me and did also an exchange year in the USA.
In my free time, I spent time with my family and friends. Sometimes I go with my friends to the city or in the cinema, we are cooking together and have a lot of fun. Four times a week, I have swim training, and sometimes at the weekend, there are competitions. To make some money on my own, I babysit the kids of our neighbors.
In the holidays I travel with my family to go skiing in Austria and in the summer we like to spend our time at the beach. Three years ago, I was in the USA. We had a fantastic time in Hawaii and in San Francisco.
I would like to do this exchange because I will improve my English, exploring new cultures and countries. I’m also interested in American high school life with all the clubs, sports and proms.
For my future, I will finish my school, study pharmacy like my mother and establish my own family with kids and a dog.
I’m excited to meet you soon!
Love,
Carolin
