Rinna
's Letter
Dear host family,
I’m Rinna. I’m sixteen years old. I live near the sea. I can hear the sound of the sea at night. I lived in China when I was in elementary school. It sparked interest in foreign countries. Around that time, I started studying English. I'm happy that my longtime dream came true through this study abroad program. I want to do my best to change myself.
I love watching movies, so I want to watch some movies together. Also, my hobby is cooking. I cook my lunch box every day. Sometimes I cook it for my father and sister. I can cook Japanese food, so I want to cook and serve them to you.
I played the clarinet in the brass band club in junior high school. In high school, I wanted to exercise so I joined the fencing club. It is difficult but it is fun.
On weekend, I watch movies, go shopping with my friends, and go to cafes, and restaurants to eat delicious food.
My father works in Tokyo. He is very kind to my family and an active person. My father always takes us to different places. My mother is good at cooking. She always supports me and listens to my troubles. My sister is 11 years old. She is a bright and hardworking person. I get along well with her. She often plays with me.
I admire America because America is a land of freedom. I want to find what I want to do in the future and connect this experience to my growth. I want to use the knowledge and English I acquired in the US for my future work.
Thank you for reading my letter. I hope you are interested in me after reading this. I’m looking forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
Rinna
