Dear Host Family, Thank you so much for being willing to participate in the exchange program and accepting me to live with your family. The reason for my exchange year is that i want to travel the world and usa is the most interesting country for a exchange year. I want to get to know the culture (foods, feasts,..)and the people. I am half turkish and half german. My dad is turkish and my mom is german. I live at my mom’s house alone with her and at my dads house I live with him, his wife and my little 2,5 year old sister. I am a fun-loving, humorous, honest and determined person. I love creative artistic activities such as dancing, singing, drawing and acting. It’s very inspiring. I am a very outgoing and active person. It’s important to me to spend my time with things, activities and people I love. I always wanted to cheerlead, but I didn’t had the time for another hobby and my school doesn’t give us the opportunity so I would love to be a cheerleader at the school in the US. I am looking forward to join school clubs and I am especially excited for the theatre club, because I enjoy acting and I want to improve and learn more about it. I am exited about showing you my culture, for example cooking German and Turkish food with you (Turkish food is very yummy) and showing you popular german & turkish songs. I also have experience with traveling alone. When I was 14 I flew from Turkey back to Germany all alone. It wasn’t hard and I enjoyed being this independent. The only thing I missed was the beautiful beach and the warm weather in Turkey. I saw a lot of pictures from other exchange students and I’m very delighted to also take great pictures and having unforgettable memories with you and my new friends in the US.
