Reina

's Letter

To my new family, My name is Reina. I was born into a family of five; Ryoko, my mom, my dad Ryuji, an older brother, Rikuto, and my twin sister Yuina. Yuina is my twin but the older one; she loves playing the guitar. One of my hobbies is sports. I like watching and doing sports as well. Here at my school, I am in the basketball club. I also enjoy watching basketball games on TV. I would like us to watch some basketball games together if you are also into sports. My favorite foods are hamburgers and Japanese pickled plums. These plums are named umeboshi, and they are salty and sower. On holidays, I usually help my mom cook, and thanks to her, I have learned to cook some Japanese dishes. Niku Jaga is a meat and potatoes hot pot dish that we, the Japanese, love. Another favorite dish of ours is Japanese-style curry with rice. I would be happy to cook some dishes for you and maybe you could teach me some local dishes too. During my stay I have two main purposes; to get very good at English and to make many memories with you and my new friends in the US. I can't wait to meet you all. With excitement, Reina
