Dear host parents, My name is Frido and I would be glad to be your guest student in the US. I am living with my siblings and parents in a house near Berlin. My siblings are called Lotte, Wilma and Alwin (18,13,10). My parents Kai and Brita are 54 and 51. I go to secondary school, it is kind of like the high school in the USA. My hobbies are playing soccer and playing the piano. I like sports very much and I am intersted in all kinds of sport - Mainly I am (as many Europeans) a big soccer fan. The USA are a country with a great culture, I love the American way of life - especially the food, the the vastness of the country and the idea that everything is possible in this country. I already visited the US four times with my parents, so I know for example Taco Bell or Wendy´s (: We were in many different US states, for example in Kentucky, Tennessee Massachussets, New York and Florida. This year, after Corona, we were in North Carolina, there lives my aunt, then we were in Minnesota and Illinois (Chicago). In Chicago we were at a baseball game of the Chicago Cubs, it was very interesting. In Germany, Baseball or Basketball are not really famous, so we don´t understand everything, but my father explained a lot to me. Now I practise a lot of Basketball with my friends, they like it too, but Baseball is difficult, because almost no one can do it. So we do other things that we do when we meet: We ride bikes, play soccer or cook together, but I am really bad at it. When we do sports, you can always get me excited, it is just a lot of fun. I also like it to hear music, Pop and similar is very nice. Music always relaxes nicely... I always enjoy the trips with friends or family the most, when you go bowling or to the movies. I also get along well with school here in Germany, let's see if that's also the case in America. I'm curious to see if high school in America is really like we know it from the movies. In general, I am curious to see how the life of the Americans goes, until now I was only there as a tourist. I hope to be able to do just that with you as my host family... Hope to seen you soon!
