Dear Host Family, Thank you so much for being willing to participate in the exchange program and accepting me to live with your family. My name is Noëmi and i am a girl from The Netherlands. The reason why i applied to the exchange program is because i have always been very interested in the American culture, the language and the youth you see in movies. My dream has always been going there on holiday but we’ve never done that. I watched a lot of YouTube at the time and i saw this dutch YouTube that went on exchange year to The Us. That’s when going om exchange became my biggest dream. So i started looking for exchange organizations and got a job and that’s when it became official. I am so grateful for this dream to come true! I am a very outgoing, motivated, straightforward, fun, loving and caring person. And i always stick up for myself and others when they’re treated wrong. I enjoy playing sports such as soccer and dance. I have been dancing since i was 5 years old but quit when I was 11 because i didn’t enjoy doing it anymore. Then when i was 12 I chose soccer and ive been playing for 4 years now. I have also been very much into acting lately, so i hope to join the soccer team and drama club if they are available. In my free time i love listening to music, dance, play soccer or hang out with friends and family. I also speak 2 languages Dutch (fluent) and English (good). But since my English isn’t fluent yet i look forward to becoming fluent in the English language. Back home i only live with my mom and two cats. My mom works for the board of a foundation responsible for 68 primary schools. The department she works for is responsible for the maintenance/renovations/new builds of these schools. I am also very close with my moms side of the family, my family is the most important thing in the world for me and i love spending time with each one of them. We’re all really close and i hope to become a part of your family as well. I currently still go to school and in the future I wanna continue going to school so i can maybe become a police officer. I am very excited about becoming a part of your family. I look forward to learning much about the American culture. I’ve always been fascinated by Thanksgiving, Christmas and Halloween. I would love to experience those holidays over there with your family. I would also love to learn new things about your family, like hobbies and habits. I feel like I could learn a lot from it and i feel like it would help grow a bond. And I would love to introduce your family to some of the Dutch cultural things and foods.
