Dear host family,
thank you very much for agreeing to participate in my exchange year by receiving me at your home.
I am a Chilean girl. I have always really liked getting to know different cultures around the world, and I would love to learn more about your culture with you.
One of my favorite activities in my life is playing volleyball and doing sports in general, which I would love to be able to play volleyball in the USA so that in the future I can enter a university, I am also a person who loves music, especially singing. I am a quite extroverted person who always likes to try and do new things. I speak three languages โโwhich are Spanish, English and German, but I would like to take this opportunity to further improve my level of English.
One of the main reasons why I would like to go to the US on an exchange is because I really like the educational system they currently have, and above all I really like the diversity of classes they have.
So that you know a little more about me and my family I will tell you a little about what they do, my father works in a mining company, where he is in charge of seeing and organizing different projects, my mother works in a hotel as a sales executive and I have a twin who also plays volleyball. We are a super united family and I also hope to become part of your family.
I think that one of the most important Chilean things is its culture since many times you think that all the cultures of the countries that speak Spanish are the same, but they are not and that is why I would like to be able to show you a little about my culture, the typical food of my country like empanadas or roasted milk and many more things.
I am really excited to be able to meet you in person and to be able to live many new experiences and make friends there and above all I am very excited to be able to become part of your family and meet each one of you.
With love
Camila
