The AYUSA Student Abroad
Picture yourself experiencing day to day life in the country of your choice, meeting friends in outdoor cafes, shopping for local treasures, marveling at the picturesque scenery and historic architecture. Experience the way people really think and feel, their values, the way they view their world. Dare to examine your own society -- challenge yourself to see through brand new lenses!
A key element to your success, is your match with a loving host family. They will provide you with food on the table, a place to stay and a chance to share in their everyday lives. In return, you must devote time and energy to building a strong, healthy relationship with everyone. The host family bonds that you form during your study abroad will be the foundation for your cultural enrichment, and will serve as your everlasting link to this once in a lifetime opportunity!
If you choose to study abroad with AYUSA for an Academic Year or Semester program, you should plan to attend high school, full-time, in your country of choice. Since you will be expected to communicate in the native tongue, your language abilities will soar rapidly. Despite different cultural perspectives, you'll find much in common with your fellow students. You can look forward to a shared interest in sports, hobbies, music and social gatherings. Keep an open mind and a good sense of humor and good friends will find you!
