
What's Included
AYUSA High School Study Abroad programs include more features than many other study abroad programs. International airfare from an AYUSA hub city, as well as student health and accident insurance, are already included in your program fees.
AYUSA High School Study Abroad participants will receive:
- Round-trip airfare from an AYUSA hub city (excluding US domestic flights, taxes & fuel surcharges)
- Student health and accident insurance
- Pre-departure and in-country orientations
- Placement with a carefully selected host family or in a residence hall, including food and lodging expenses
- Academic Year and Semester Programs: Enrolment in a local high school and support from a Local Coordinator
- Summer Cultural Exploration Programs: Language and Culture classes as well as activities organized by an AYUSA On-Site Coordinator
- Supervision, guidance, and support during the application process and throughout the entire program
- Student Handbook to prepare students and provide helpful tips on studying abroad
- 24-hour emergency assistance
Possible additional fees:
- Personal expenses (e.g., toiletries, clothing, internet, calling card, activities)
- School expenses (e.g., private school tuition, uniform [if necessary], lunches [depending on program], supplies, bus pass)
- Passport and visa application fees, as determined by destination country
