
What's Included
AYUSA High School Study Abroad programs include more features than many other study abroad programs.
AYUSA High School Study Abroad participants will receive:
- Round-trip airfare from an AYUSA hub city (excluding US domestic flights, taxes & fuel surcharges)
- Student health and accident insurance
- Pre-departure and in-country orientations
- Placement with a carefully selected host family or in a residence hall, including food and lodging expenses
- Academic Year and Semester Programs: Enrollment in a local high school and support from a Local Coordinator
- Summer Cultural Exploration Programs: Language and Culture classes as well as activities organized by an AYUSA On-Site Coordinator
- Supervision, guidance, and support during the application process and throughout the entire program
- Student Handbook to prepare students and provide helpful tips on studying abroad
- 24-hour emergency assistance
Possible additional fees:
- Personal expenses (e.g., toiletries, clothing, internet, calling card, activities)
- School expenses (e.g., private school tuition, uniform [if necessary], lunches [depending on program], supplies, bus pass)
- Passport and visa application fees, as determined by destination country
