Academic year and semester students attend a local Mexican high school late August through early July, while staying with a host family in the Yucatan Peninsula, in southern Mexico. AYUSA programs enhance your education by making a high school study abroad program in Mexico a reality. Classroom teaching is conducted entirely in Spanish with a variety of courses including: Math, Biology, History, Spanish language and literature, Physical Education, Art, Music, French, and Italian. Most Mexican public school hours are typically 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students remain in one classroom as teachers rotate, giving you the opportunity to become close with your classmates.
