Cassandra Jorgensen, Colorado "I feel like I've grown so much. I definitely have a much broader view of things, especially a better world view. I take fewer things for granted, and I feel I'm much more accepting of different people."

Sandy Troppa, Germany, volunteered in an animal shelter in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of her Key Club community service. She learned that providing care is a complex, ongoing endeavor. "I intend to bring my experiences at the shelter back to Germany and make an impact at a similar center in my hometown."

Frederick Tylki, Venezuela, taught Spanish to elementary students in a small, rural school in North Dakota, introducing his culture and language to students who wouldn't ordinarily have an opportunity to study a foreign language. "This was the most rewarding experience of my life. I really grew up and learned about myself."
