Dear host family,
Thank you very much for wanting to be part of this experience and opening your home to me. I hope that we not only have a good experience, but also that we can build strong bonds with each family member.
I am a Chilean girl who is currently finishing the Tenth grade year of school. I am someone who enjoys change and new experiences, meeting new people, and exploring new places. That's one of the main reasons why I am doing this exchange. I wish to learn about American culture and share mine with you.
To tell you a bit about me, I am a very enthusiastic, empathetic, and responsible person. I really enjoy cooking, dancing, playing field hockey, and I would love to try out new sports or activities that are not common in Chile. I want to live as many experiences as possible.
I speak two languages, Spanish and English, which I would like to improve as much as possible. I hope you can help me by correcting me whenever I say something incorrectly.
I attend urban dance classes, and if the opportunity arises, I would love to do something similar during the exchange. I am open to trying different things I've never encountered before, as I believe everything will contribute to my personal growth.
My dad is a Math teacher, and my mom is a preschool teacher. My older brother is in his first year of university, and my younger brother is in Sixth grade. We are a very close family, and each of us contributes to the daily functioning of the household.
We have a system of rotating chores, which has helped us greatly with organization and cleanliness. Since my parents work, my brothers and I take turns being in charge of different areas of the house each week to keep it clean and tidy.
During the exchange, I would love for you to consider me for participating in household tasks or any system you have for chores, so that we can have a pleasant experience, respect your routines, and I can adapt quickly to your daily life.
I would love to share some of my culture with you, especially with traditional Chilean food like sopaipillas and calzones rotos, and also Latin music culture.
Above all, I want to create unforgettable moments with you, something that will stay with me for the rest of my life, and I hope it will be a great experience for you as a family.
Warm Regards,
Antonia
